A sales agent or agency sells a brand’s collection to retailers on commission and never buys the goods. A showroom is the place where an agency or several brands present collections to buyers. A distributor buys the goods and resells them on its own account, so it carries the stock risk.

An agency presents your collection to retailers in its markets, takes their orders and looks after the accounts through the season. It is usually paid a commission, a share of the revenue from the orders it brings in. The rate is negotiated individually between brand and agency. Labelloop takes no share of it.

Connect covers the countries and categories its listed profiles name. You filter by country, price segment and category. Brands state the countries where they look for a showroom. Showrooms state the countries they sell in.

Yes. The Connect directory is free for brands and showrooms, like Discovery, even after the trial. All you need is a Labelloop account. Retailers find brands through Discovery in their workspace instead.

It shows story, images, categories, a price segment as a tier and the countries you work in. It never shows prices, lookbooks or documents. Anyone can browse the directory, but only brands and showrooms with their own active Connect profile can write to you. It leaves the directory shortly after you switch it off. Your account and data stay.

Have a lookbook of the current collection ready, with wholesale and retail prices, the stores that already carry you and the regions you want to grow in. Showrooms often ask about delivery dates, minimum orders and marketing support as well.

Fashion agencies usually present their brands in a showroom in one city, for example in Düsseldorf, Munich, Paris, Milan or Copenhagen. The overview by country and city shows where to look in each market.
